Welcome to my website. I started work on this site in late 2021. The goal was to make a responsive website using Python's Django package.
The current version of the site consists of three main sections along with the home page. The Blog app which is for general purpose posts, short projects and technical analyses. The Projects app which is designed to display my larger projects. And the About app which explains in more detail the history and goal of this site.
The blog portion of my site is where I expect to have more frequent posts and will likely have a variety of different content.
Now that I have the site up and running here is a quick outline of what I want to do next:
- Site maintenance
- Get a domain name
- Expand the site
Site maintenance is perhaps the most important. I want to make sure that the site works how it is intended and now that it is live and I am putting new content up I have a great opportunity to see what does and doesn't work. Much of this work will probably be on the back end.
Getting a domain name is also rather important to me. This one could take a while, but I'm sure I'll figure out a good site name eventually.
And finally, at some point I will want to expand this site. Here are some of the ideas which I will consider:
- Log in features
- Light and dark mode
- Site forum
- Parallel site with stuff like a Recipe app
So this site has plenty of room for growth and improvement in the future. Moreover, now that the initial phase is complete I can utilize the site as intended. This is my place to showcase my mathematical, statistical and programming projects and analysis and I intend to do so with great vigor. Still I'll need a proper domain name to share with people. So I'll keep thinking about that.
